SIEA COMMITTEE SUMMARIES
The group consists of twenty elected SIEA board members. They are the governing body of SIEA. Meets four times a year for a luncheon meeting.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Plant managers, owners, managers. Meets four times a year and they receive copies of notices for all SIEA committees.
HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE
A group consisting of Human Resource Directors, Managers and Administrators, who discuss information about labor relations and employee benefits. They meet four times a year and the programs vary from open forum to invited presenters.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
The government process is discussed at various roundtable discussions with legislators as guest speakers. Scheduled trips to Springfield to meet with State Legislators and staff. Attend briefings with Illinois Manufactures' Association and Illinois State Chamber.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
For managers whose responsibilities require them to keep abreast of developments in environmental issues. They discuss activities of the Federal and State Environmental Protection Agencies. The group meets four times a year. Programs vary from open forum to invited presenters.
SAFETY & HEALTH COMMITTEE
Consisting of managers and supervisors, who are responsible for safety and industrial hygiene matters. The committee provides a forum for networking on pertinent health and safety issues. This includes a variety of subjects from regulations, safety programs, and loss and accident prevention. The meeting format varies from formal presentations and open roundtable discussions. The committee meets four times a year.
A group consisting of managers and supervisors responsible for employee and facility protection. the group meets three times a year and the program is an open forum with scheduled plant tours.
PURCHASING MANAGERS ROUNDTABLE
A group consisting of the top purchasing managers who share information and ideas and discuss current trends, demands innovations issues dealing with purchasing. This committee meets on an on call basis.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A group of information systems managers: provide members of SIEA with opportunities to increase their knowledge about information systems management and provide a forum for networking on pertinent technology issues, current trends, demands, innovations, and issues.
This committee meets on an on call basis.
For leaders and professionals who are responsible for training and employee development. The training committee's purpose is to provide: A forum for the exchange of information and resources. Opportunities for professional development for the members. A vehicle for joint development of training. This committee meets on an on call basis.
WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMMITTEE
A group comprised of those who have the responsibility for administering workers' compensation within their company. They exchange information on specific cases and awards, share cost reduction ideas, and watch and comment on trends and developments. This committee meets on an on call basis.
HEALTH CARE COMMITTEE
A group for directors, managers and administrators. Receives information on strategies and solutions related to health care costs.
The group receives information via mail on updates on Illinois tax proposals.
